The main research goal of GLANCE is to quantify the global glyoxal (CHOCHO) sources and sinks, and to estimate the missing CHOCHO source, necessary to close the gap between the existing model and satellite observations.

We aim to...

– revisit the CHOCHO budget
– characterize the missing CHOCHO source and evaluate its spatio-temporal patterns
– evaluate against independent data and disseminate the top-down volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions
– inscribe this activity in international efforts and establish links with international partners

 

 GLANCE has kicked off on January 1st, 2023 for a duration of 12 months.
